would like to think these are Crossbills? Help me ID!

Recommended Posts

These birds have been at feeder within last week.  Thought at first they were more finches, but then I noticed bills and size. What is the greenish bird?1670989331_IMG_0159.JPG3.thumb.jpg.c2c59910059975b35560847b02563e8c.jpg1694505891_IMG_0152.JPG2.thumb.jpg.127be75355d4eb0d592239c65128b62a.jpg1422048086_IMG_0022.JPG2.thumb.jpg.0d544858d814f70fe3e617bde11aea6d.jpg1254247886_IMG_0148.JPG2.thumb.jpg.747c4ebdac0f36440216f0960ea0204a.jpgIMG_0151.thumb.JPG.55bc75d0a643080b2d78ba997024bba5.JPG.  I am in Columbia SC which maybe a stopping off point for the North? Greenish bird is also a question?

I agree with akiley -- 1-3 are all House Finches, 4-5 is a Painted Bunting.

I think that is a male you have there, just doesn’t have his adult coloration, yet.
