These are actually juvenile (maybe female, maybe male; I don’t know if you can sex them at this point in their life) Horned Larks. While adult males have a black mask, black breast band, brown overall and pale below, and a black tail, adult females are paler, lack the mask, have a light yellow throat, and a brown breast band. Juveniles are similar to adult females but just have a dark eyeline (no mask), lighter brown breast band, and white-edged feathers on the back.
