akandula 669 Posted August 14 (edited) Saw these sparrows in Calgary, Alberta on Monday. I was wondering if these were Brewer's (which would not be a lifer) and/or Clay-colored (which would be a lifer) Sparrows. I was seeing a distinctive, contrasty face, but was also seeing a streaky supercilium. Thanks as always. 1. 2. 3. Edited August 14 by akandula
Phalarope713 124 Posted August 14 The relatively clean gray nape, buffy coloration, and strong facial pattern all point to Clay-colored in my opinion.

akandula 669 Posted August 15 Thank you both. I can really understand why Cornell describes them as “incredibly cute sparrows”!
