Saw these sparrows in Calgary, Alberta on Monday. I was wondering if these were Brewer's (which would not be a lifer) and/or Clay-colored (which would be a lifer) Sparrows. I was seeing a distinctive, contrasty face, but was also seeing a streaky supercilium. Thanks as always.

The relatively clean gray nape, buffy coloration, and strong facial pattern all point to Clay-colored in my opinion.

Thank you both. I can really understand why Cornell describes them as “incredibly cute sparrows”!
