Note the coarse streaks, broad malar stripe, central breast spot, a long, rounded tail, and rounded head. Savannah Sparrows have shorter bills, shorter, notched tails, crisper streaking on the underparts, usually are less reddish overall, and usually show yellow above their eyes.
