I need help with this bird from Banff, AB

Nice picture!

This is a Lincoln's Sparrow. Note the medium size, fairly small bill, fine, crisp streaks on the breast, back, and flanks, grayish face, rufous crown, and buffy breast.

A fairly similar sparrow to look out for is the Song Sparrow. You can identify these sparrows by their coarser streaking, more rufous overall, and less gray face. Also, Song Sparrows do not have a buffy wash on the breast.
