akandula
I saw this warbler in Yoho NP, BC on 8/8/19. It was in the middle of a bush, making high-pitched cheeping sounds. Sorry for the horrible picture - the bird was in the middle of the bush, so AF didn't work, then I went to MF and tried to get a picture before it moved. The bill was thin, like a normal warbler beak. The bird was very sulky sitting in the bush, moving very occasionally. I sometimes couldn't even see it. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe an Orange-crowned, which would be a lifer. Pretty much the only picture I have. No audio recordings. Thanks as always. Melierax
The leg color is throwing me off for Orange-crowned. I'm thinking Macgillivray's. The behavior fits as well. Edited August 19, 2019 by Melierax

This bird had a full yellowish body and maybe had a grayish head. Thank you for the suggestion though! akandula
Any other opinions? All the warblers mentioned would be lifers. The bird was right next to a lake in a bush. The above picture was heavily sharpened; this is the original foot color:
John Landon
Based on the vocalization alone, all I can offer is a recently fledged bird that is hanging around near its nest calling for food from the parents. Were adult birds around? Youngsters of all species will make a ruckus for more food, exposing them to predators.

I could not see any parents around. The only other warbler that I saw looked like a Yellow/Wilson's Warbler.
