Southern Ontario this morning.

Two birds arrived a few minutes apart and perched about 200m away from each other, so not necessarily same species.

Poor lighting and quite distant so difficult to see characteristics, tail seems quite wide on first bird.

Thanks TBNs, much appreciated as always.

I will assume the "stubby" looking wide and short tail appearance of the first bird is just due to the particular stance , another thing to trip up the learner.

BTW. If I had a yard list like yours I think I would be pretty happy spending a lot of time around the house.
