Manchester, England part 1

  1. Breeding male Reed Bunting. Breeding males show off a distinctive black-and-white head pattern (which is duller in winter). Females are streaky overall; note the boldy striped head, rusty shoulders, and brown rumps. In flight, note white outer tail feathers.
  2. Looks like a Common Chiffchaff. Note the dull appearance, brown overall, weak pale eyebrow, and dark legs. 
  3. Dunnock - note the slender, thrush-like bill, blue-gray head sides, and streaked back.
  4. Pass.
