Sorry, no picture, but can someone identify this bird from its morning call? It seems to be a first-time visitor to the yard, or it could be a more common bird with a different agenda today.

 Sept 11, 2019 outside Philadelphia. 6:30 a.m. in a holly tree.

Oh my goodness! I think you're right. It sounds just like these raccoons. Sorry to mispost here on Whatbird, but I'm glad to get a knowledgeable answer.

Welcome! It's no big deal.  We've had squirrels, crickets, frogs, and other critters mistaken for birds.
