Look like Northern Shovelers

That’s what I was thinking, but there are two that are confusing me. The bottom picture and the duck up and to the right of the shovelers in the third picture aren’t shovelers.

I can see that the other one might not be a shoveler, but I don't think I'd be able to identify it just based on views from the back like that. I guess I could imagine it being a Gadwall, but I can't really say.

I'm quite happy with "dabbling duck sp."

For eBird purposes, I wish more people would use the 'xxx species' options.

What is “xxx species”? I don’t recall seeing that ever.

'xxx' is intended as a placeholder.  'Duck sp', 'Shorebird sp', 'Hawk sp.', etc.  I hope that clears it up, and I apologize for the confusion.

You’re all good. I was in Algebra when I asked, so I should’ve know. It was a placeholder.
