WARBLER ID PLEASE

Recommended Posts

Another warm welcome to Whatbird!

This is a nonbreeding adult/immature Tennessee Warbler. Note the small size, short tail, lack of strong wingbars, white undertail coverts, and thin, pointy bill. Breeding adults are yellow-green above, have a gray cap, and a white supercilium. The undersides are whitish but may be yellow-washed. Nonbreeding adults and immatures are yellow-green overall, but note the white undertail coverts and pale eyebrow.

Orange-crowned Warblers would have yellow (not white) undertail coverts, a nondistinctive supercilium, and lack the faint wingbars.
