Recommended Posts

1. and 4. Immature Red-shouldered Hawk - note the fairly long, thinly barred tail, square-tipped wings, and distinctive bright, translucent crescents in the outer wing. Also note the reddish wash on the underwing coverts.

2. and 3. Immature Peregrine Falcon - note the densely streaked underparts, distinctive face pattern, and long, pointy wings.
