birdgurl 20
I think this is a House Finch but the chest and back had some red. Grants Pass or Any help appreciated Edited October 2, 2019 by birdgurl
akandula 2,804
That's a male Purple Finch. House Finches lack any red on the back, don't have that much red on the face, and have a stronger curved culmen. Nice bird. Lady Tiff 10
Good pics for the ID, agree with akandula, male Purple Finch.
Charlie Spencer 3,131
I might add the streaking on the chest and sides would be stronger on a House Finch. Edited October 3, 2019 by Charlie Spencer
