Guest
I am Living in Songdo / Incheon / South Korea very close to the sea, I found this little guy yesterday. Does anybody know what it is. It was sitting on the Floor and could not move anymore. He even didn't move, when I got very close to take a photo. I assume that he probably has been blow out on the sea and just managed to get back onto land. It is Typhoon Season here and although Japan suffers much more from typhoons than we (currently "Hagibis"), it is very windy here too. The bird may come from very far away, I haven't seen such a bird here.
Trevor L.
@Aveschapinescan we move this to the out of NA section? Also, I’m not sure, but it looks like a kinglet from North America. Not sure if you get those over there. Edited October 13, 2019 by Trevor L.
The Bird Nuts
I think it's a Goldcrest. It looks like it might have been stunned from a window/building collision.
akandula
Yes, definitely an adult Goldcrest (Regulus regulus). Note the tiny size, black edged golden crown stripe, and white wingbar with black wing patch. It was probably just migrating to South Korea, which is in their normal nonbreeding range. Guest
Thank you. Nevertheless, I have never seen one of these around here. I left him behind without doing anything. Hope he is well - there are some cats here.
