Help with another warbler id.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I was out birding again today and managed to capture a few backlit shots of this warbler...I'm not totally sure what it is but maybe a female/immature male blackburnian?

Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

This actually looks better for a nonbreeding adult/immature Tennessee Warbler. Note the green back, pointy bill, conspicuous pale eyebrow, dark eyeline, white undertail coverts, and unstreaked underparts.

Blackburnian Warblers would have pale streaks on the back, a distinctive triangle ear patch and more streaking on the flanks.
