Cooper's or Sharp-shinned?

This is probably a stupid question, but what or where is the "nape"?

The nape of a bird is basically the back of its neck. In adult Sharp-shinned Hawks, the crown and nape color are both the same color (giving a hooded appearance), but in adult Cooper's, the nape is noticeably lighter than the crown (giving a capped appearance).
