Just guessing of course, @Aidan B can explain his methods but Cedar Waxwings are predictable flycatchers that often launch from a central point to catch a bug and then return only to repeat the process over and over again. A small flock can quickly provide dozens up dozens of opportunities for in flight shots if you happen to be at the right place at the right time. Somehow I don't think that was what you were asking though, in fact I wonder if what you meant to say was, Wow!!, and not How!? My explanation makes it sound like I almost know what I'm talking about this time though, doesn't it?
