This is an adult Great Blue Heron (Blue form). This species is unmistakable: it's the largest heron in North America, with a grayish-blue overall, long orangish-yellow bill, and black crown.

In case you were wondering, the similar Gray Heron does not live in North America and has paler neck/thighs.
