AlexHenry Posted December 27, 2019 Share Posted December 27, 2019 This is definitely a Pacific Golden-Plover. Many of them winter in Hawaii; a few winter here too, along the California coast. Note the fairly small, slender body shape (especially relative to Black-bellied Plover, but also slightly smaller and more slender than American Golden-Plover), the slender bill, the fairly bright "golden" cast on the head, neck, and back, and the very short primary projection beyond the tertials and end of the tail (ruling out American Golden-Plover). 3 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
