Lifer 300, the great and mighty Whooping Crane.

Finally after more than a month I was able to get a photo of the Harris’s Sparrow where you can actually tell what it is. Still poor quality however. Think I’m doomed to never get a good photo but alw

Been real busy at work to post but did get out to see this Black Guillemot when it showed up in december here on the jersey shore

Your still allowed to, but because of the complicated regulations, it can’t be done from any of the large boats.

Inside the bank, or right outside of it?

Here it is. It's real unfortunate that you couldn't make it.

This is probably my best photo after looking through all of them. It's a shame I didn't get anything better, but I wasn't att the rail, so I had to take photos in cracks in-between people.

We’ll definitely need to organize a field trip there.

God has really blessed me by where I live...

If you ever come to Palo Pinto I'll be glad to have a visitor!

Here is my yard list if any one wants to see it:

Wow, that’s an awesome list! 35 of those would be lifers for me. And you had a LeConte’s Sparrow?!?!

I've never done a pelagic, are they super crowded on the boat? I want to do one later this year out of Washington. Is there a particularly good time of year?

They can be pretty crowded outside of COVID, but all the ones I’ve done recently have been pretty empty and it’s been pretty nice. September is the Classic time for pelagics here. However, I don’t know too much about when is best up in Washington.

Don't make me drive north of Seattle to take a picture of the common crane!!  I'm getting jealous!!

Tempting. I wasn’t aware of this and it’s only an hour and a half from me. I need to pay closer attention to the rare bird alerts
