neilpa
Yellow-headed Blackbird this afternoon. Not the most exciting bird, but my first self-found county rarity. It was even at the most (or maybe second most) birded spot in Seattle.

DLecy
Locally uncommon/rare Black-chinned Hummingbird. This particular location gets amazing birds, and in particular, amazing hummingbirds. However, it's on the immediate coast and the lighting is often difficult (see almost always overcast). This is the best I could salvage. https://ebird.org/checklist/S94187559 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/366611181

The earlier in the day the more difficult the light. Your photo is diagnostic though. It’s pretty wild he has two BCHUs at his feeders right now. DLecy
Costa's Hummingbird is a really good bird for the city of SF. Composition was horrible (dappled lighting, I was under the bird, etc.), but I dig how it was stretching and scratching. https://ebird.org/checklist/S94255138 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/367020671

The northwest winds during the night probably had something to do with it.
