Trevor L.
Not as cool as some of the other stuff people are posting, but today I went and saw two Snowy Owls. I was only expecting one. I also saw two Tundra Swans, which are flagged in that county and apparently hard to find. Two of my birding friends who live in that county still need Tundras for county, so I feel a little bad. I've looked through thousands of Tundra Swans this winter trying to find a Trumpeter. Nice birds! Edited January 8, 2022 by Aidan B

DLecy
Not a mega, but I finally got a halfway decent picture of the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker that is now wintering locally for the third year in a row. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/403868951

That's a hard bird to photo. I've always seen it near the top of the tree, and my looks earlier today were much worse than yours.
Connor Cochrane
Found a Sandhill Crane today which is a real difficult bird to get near the coast. It was my 337th bird for Marin county.

Yeah, that thing loves to work its way down a branch, only to stay out of sight on the backside of the limb, before quickly making its way back up high again. Frustrating, to say the least. DLecy
Long desired county bird, and always a good bird for Northern CA. Maybe a 4th county record (per eBird)? https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/407146191 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/407146301 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/407146341

Unfortunately, none have really showed up down here.
