Quiscalus quiscula
Well, I've only found rare birds that are out of season, not really out of range, or otherwise I wouldn't be here in this thread at all. My WAVI got on the eBird rare bird alert and was confirmed.

IKLland
Got the Wood Warbler! Also met @Connor Cochrane. Here are two of my poor photos of it. Im pretty sure connor got much better photos. Just really incredible to see. I’m amazed it was originally found, it moves around a ton, and a lot of the time it’s in these little trees along a busy street. IKLland
Continuing Painted Redstart here in OC. I swear, if you think photographing kinglets is bad, you won’t have an easy time with this species! It was 10 times worse, as the bird literally never stayed still, and it never seemed to want to look at me. I got lucky with this shot, even though it’s not that sharp.

Can't imagine a warbler faster than a kinglet!

I wish I could buy a real computer so I can get topaz denoise, it would help me a lot in situations like this, because I could really improve this shot with better noise reduction…..

Maybe Topaz DeNoise has improved since I got it, but in my opinion, Topaz DeNoise is trash compared to DxO PureRAW.

I'm telling y'all, all you people west of the rocky's need about 6 months of living in the Texas hill country. You will be able to tell the difference between a hawk, a Turkey Vulture, and a Black Vulture at a glance.
floraphile
Limpkin today in Baldwin co. AL. Rare--although not the first--for the county, per our local birding guru. Saw it, but too far for a pic.

Aidan B
I found a Cassin's Vireo this afternoon, which is always a great bird during this time of year. First record for Placer County on ebird between late September and late March.
