That's a VERY pink bill for a Gambel's. Could this bird perhaps be a Gambel's x Leucophrys intergrade?

No, it was misidentifed as a Bonaparte's Gull yesterday by another birder, but the photo was found on Macaulay last night and correctly identified as a Kittiwake. Lots of birders out this morning looking for it.

The Purple Finch always flags rare, because they don't always make it this far south, and are sparse when they do. However, I see at least a couple each Winter.
