I’m just hoping to get a couple lifers, I’m really hoping for a rarity but I can’t expect one this time of year. This one is out of San Diego though, the only other two I’ve been in were out of Orange County, so this one should be a better trip. Good luck to you!!
Birding Boy
Some family friends found my county's 1st record of Snowy Egret! Thankfully it was in pond off of a public road, making conditions ideal for a chase. eBird Checklist - 7 May 2023 - Stakeout Snowy Egret (2023) Neal Rd. Sure wasn't expecting this to show up today! Also, my picture will probably be better than this, this is just a BOC shot. I think I've gotten pretty good at those!

Aidan B
Hawaiian Petrel!!! I'm very happy with my photos turned out, this bird was fairly distant and only did one pass. Far better looks than my first HAPE!
IKLland
So…a Cape May Warbler was found in my county yesterday, I wasn’t able to get here until this evening. I only got 3-4 seconds of views, obstructed, never saw the face, only 1 awful photo. I’m coming back tomorrow. Lifer though!

Aidan B
24 minutes ago, IKLland said: Epic! I only have one for cali. Self found? No, but I almost was the one to find it. I had planned to go where this bird was found super early this morning, but I decided to go and bird somewhere else instead. Another Ovenbird got found in Sutter county while I was watching this bird, which is insane as all the Ovenbird records for the northern part of the central valley are historical. I've been super lucky with Ovenbirds in California, this is my fourth one. The only vagrants I've seen more of are Tennessee Warbler and Chestnuts-sided Warbler.
RobinHood
First Limpkin eBird record for Canada (first record ever for Ontario). Found by the daughter of a local birder who had seen them in Florida, same location as the Wagtail a few weeks ago. Failed to get a look at it yesterday after trudging through foot deep mucky swamp for some time but did manage to completely submerge my camera.
