Crow or Raven

Not sure. Head and bill tell me crow but the tail makes me think raven.

Any help appreciated

Funny, the shaggy throat feathers and relatively long, heavy bill look like a Common Raven to me.  Maybe it's the camera angle but that bill looks like a heavy-duty piece of hardware, more than what a crow comes equipped with.

Yes.   You'll often find their tails described as fan-shaped (crow) or wedge-shaped (raven).  Most field guides note this.

I have never understood what wedge-shaped meant. You inspired me to see if I could find out. Here is a helpful page in case anybody else was wondering the same thing:
