Mocking bird or Catbird?

Photo taken south of Houston Texas today. I didn't see any white wingbars at the time. That straight up tail is throwing me for a loop? Any thoughts? Thank you.

Mock.  Cats would be a darker, more uniform gray overall.  The Mocks in my yard cock their tails like this when they're defending territory (which they seem to think is the entire yard).

There’s one mockingbird that always does that while sitting right outside my window. I might name him.
