The pix are pretty bad but it's the best I've got. 

This bird was on a quiet residential street in Boston MA on Jan 23rd around 10:30 a.m. It swooped down from the wire and dove into a bush. House sparrows emerged from the bush. The bird in question flew back out, perched on a wire, swooped into the bush again, flying back out and up to a wire. I'm having trouble estimating it's size. Hoping this is enough info.

Agreed.  That 'long toe' stands out in the second shot.
