Usha
These photos taken recently in scottsdale, Arizona. Does not look like a typical mallard to me. Has a breast spot also. Any help is appreciated.
Trevor L.
It’s just a domestic form of the Mallard. They can be quite variable.

SirVive
Someone told me a helpful key feature of domestic blood is to note the couple of curly tail feathers - seen if you look closely at the second photo.

Wild Mallard drakes normally have this trait, so it’s not important in assessing for domestic/wild. What is more important is an aberrant plumage, size, shape, and/or behavior. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Mallard/media-browser/60021841
