Usva
Hi, I was going through some photos from last summer and came across this: Photo taken on Mt. Pinos (CA) on 4th of July, 2019. I had ID'ed it as a female/immature mountain bluebird, but apparently it's supposed to be quite rare in that range, so I'd like to hear your opinions! I'm not an expert birder, more of a photographer... Thanks!
Usva
Actually, while we're at it, take a look at this one too. Unfortunately the photo seriously questions my skills as a photographer, but to me it looks like a pacific wren, which should also be rare in that range. Melierax
Looks more like a Western Bluebird to me, and the second one is a House Wren. Welcome to Whatbird! Edited February 15, 2020 by Melierax
