guy_incognito
I went back to NC to do two Hatteras pelagic trips. First trip went out, but the second was cancelled due to rough seas. Before the trip I got a lifer Chuck-will's-widow, but no photos. Five lifers on the boat. Only had a few Audubon's Shearwaters, and they stayed really far away so I only got a terrible photo: Audubon's Shearwater by mattgrube, on Flickr Band-rumped Storm-petrel by mattgrube, on Flickr Black-capped Petrel by mattgrube, on Flickr Cory's Shearwater by mattgrube, on Flickr We actually had at least two Trindade Petrels as well! Trindade Petrel by mattgrube, on Flickr Trindade Petrel by mattgrube, on Flickr The day of the cancelled boat was when the White-winged Tern was reported, so that turned into an excellent consolation prize for my 7th lifer of the trip. Melierax
Finally got lifer Scott's Oriole! There's been a small population of them in southern Idaho for a while now in a small area of good habitat. They're extremely difficult to find and the roads are bad, so this has taken 3 years of attempts to get. I saw 5 of them today!

Kevin
I got a four lifers on a trip to Oklahoma. Hairy Woodpecker, White-breasted Nuthatch, Tree Swallow, and Louisiana Waterthrush! The White-breasted Nuthatch flew before I could get a photo.? We all know how easy it is to photograph swallows... Hmm... My Hair Woodpecker photo did not turn out too good. My Louisiana Waterthrush photos did turn out good considering that it was in bad lighting. Edited June 22, 2020 by Kevin
