So I got lifers 288-298 this week!

Green-tailed Towhee!

Curve-billed Thrasher!

Cactus Wren!! This was one I just had to find this trip, I only heard it though.?

Acorn Woodpecker!!! Another one I just had to see.

Canyon Towhee!! These were everywhere!

White-throated Swift!

Black-throated Sparrow!!! I hiked to the top of the second highest spot in the state park to find one of these and then there was one a the feeders that were a 45 second bike ride from our camp!!!:classic_angry:

Rock Wren!! I hiked up to the top of a nice rocky hill to find one of these, and then they were allover the place when we went to see the old fort!

Also got Phainopepla, California Towhee, Whimbrel, and Long-billed Curlew.

Better views than what I've had. I've lived in the state for 8 years now, and I've seen them once, and that was going 65 over the grapevine on I5. That's great that you got to see them.

In Southern FL. Finally got White-tailed Kite, one of the more common birds I don’t have, although I haven’t been to TX or CA. And the highlight of the day, an absolutely STUNNING adult male Western Spindalis on Pelican Island. Beautiful bird and only my 5th code 4.

Just got back from a road trip to Florida and ended up getting 28 lifers. They were House Wren, Anhinga, Northern Harrier, Glossy Ibis, Common Gallinule, Blue-winged Teal, Royal Tern, Dunlin, Wilson's Plover, Black-bellied Plover, Lesser Yellowlegs, Black-necked Stilt, Semipalmated Plover, American Oystercatcher, Cattle Egret, Indian Peafowl, Black-crowned Night-heron, Sandhill Crane, Purple Gallinule, Loggerhead Shrike, Eastern Screech-Owl, Swallow-tailed Kite, Reddish Egret, Florida Scrub-Jay, Mottled Duck, Tree Swallow, Sora, and Northern Shoveler.
