HamRHead Posted September 24, 2021 Share Posted September 24, 2021 This year I have been hitting my local county for a few birds that shouldn't be too hard to get. Yesterday I thought I had found my county Yellow Warbler. I shot a few frames, saw a dark undertail, and suddenly realized it was not a Yellow Warbler. I got a few more shots, none of them great, but still diagnostic for a rare Wilson's Warbler! It is a lifer and a great county bird. Yeah thousands of scoters migrate through the Great Lakes, but the weird thing is they’re almost all female/immature birds. It was hanging around near a private marina, but one kind boat owner let us onto the docks and we got a solid look.
