Kevin
@Seanbirds Yes, I have seen Belted Kingfishers. 19 hours ago, Melierax said: Incredible! Green Kingfisher is high on my bucket list. Green Kingfishers have been on my bucket list ever since I started birding. When we left I did not know that Ringed Kingfishers where in range so that was an unexpected lifer.

Was lucky enough to see a vagrant Green Kingfisher in AZ several months ago.

Charlie Spencer
Wilson's Snipe, SuperSod farms, Orangeburg SC, Sep. 28th. This is the first of several from the Carolina Bird Club's fall excursions this weekend. The sod farm is supposed to be a hotbed of migratory shorebirds. It hasn't rained in weeks so apparently they all went somewhere else. This was in a relatively low area that retained sprinkler runoff.

I remember my trip to Costa Rica in March was a gold mine. Saw exactly 100 new birds. Green Honeycreeper pushed me over the 300 mark.

Laura
I took this with my phone. This little Golden-crowned Kinglet kept looking at his reflection in the window. I put my hand underneath his body, and very gently grasped his legs with 2 fingers. He stayed so clam as I walked to the nearby trees and released him. He landed on one of the branches and I'm almost certain I heard him say 'thank you!" This is a lifer for me.
