Kevin
Great Crested or Brown-crested Flycatcher? I am not sure when or where I took this photo. I had it labeled Brown-crested Flycatcher but I am now wondering if my first Id was right.
Jefferson Shank
It is a Brown-crested Flycatcher. It has a paler belly and not as much rufous/brown on sides & tail as Great-crested Flycatcher.

Tony Leukering
I asked because juveniles of the various Myiarchus have different tail patterns than do older birds. If this were definitively not a juvenile, then it must be Brown-crested. If it's not....
Kevin
I found a site that you copy over your photo and it tells you when and where you took the photo. https://www.pic2map.com/ The photo was taken Fri 5th of July 2019 Parker Co. TX. (North central TX.) So that means it is just a Great Crested?
blackburnian
If this bird were in SE AZ, with that thick of a bill, I’d call it Brown-crested, but I suppose it very well could be GC.

According to Sibley's Great Crested seems to have a small almost nonexistent tip an the bill. But Brown-crested seems to have a much lager tip on its bill. birdbrain22
This bird appears to be a juvenile bird..feathering on the face as well as a gape. And if I had to guess I'd say Great crested.
akandula
I already identified this as a juvenile Great Crested 7 months ago. 1
