Please Confirm Say's Phoebe

Agreed.  Reddish vent feathers end before the belly, bill is too heavy, the tail is too long in proportion to the body, and the gray on underside is uniform and doesn't get lighter on the chest.

Plumage is actually pretty similar, so I understand where this misID is coming from, but as Charlie mentions, the shape is very different, and also the behavior - towhees will hop around on the ground, often near cover like bushes or shrubs. They forage by pecking around on the ground. Say's Phoebes, on the other hand, will often perch up on exposed fences or sticks or snags, although they will sometimes sit on the ground they have a more upright posture, and they forage by flycatching - sallying forth from a perch to catch flying insects, or even kiting / hovering in the air in one spot. Say's Phoebes also flick their tails (like other phoebes), although the motion is somewhat slower and more graceful than other phoebes and the tail often spreads open a bit as it wags.
