belliott
This bird appears to have a slight patagial bar--but the breast, tail, and translucent wings don't look like a Red-tail to me. I think maybe it is an immature Red-shouldered Hawk? Yesterday in southwest Missouri. Melierax
I believe so. The tail is too long for Red-tail with the wrong patterning, and the streaks are in the breast and belly.
akandula
To add to Melierax's reason, the translucent crescents are diagnostic for Red-shouldered.
Charlie Spencer
The red on the shoulders is visible in the first photo.

Trevor L.
Juvenile Red-shouldered. Used to have a breeding pair in the woods behind my house. They were always fun to watch.
