A House Wren wouldn't have that defined of a supercilium, as mentioned above, and it would have more barring on the wings and a shorter tail. I believe this is a young bird. Corvus caurinus Posted August 16, 2018 Share Posted August 16, 2018 I disagree with House Wren, I don’t think a House Wren would have a tail that proportionally long or a supercilium that strong. Bewick’s Wrens don’t have black on their supercilium, just white on brown. House Wrens have heavier, higher contrast barring on their wings, while Bewick’s in the Northwest are (generally) duller and less striking, like the bird shown here.
