What bird is this [iBird request]

Recommended Posts

A female/immature Vermilion Flycatcher would have a lighter, browner head, faint streaking on an even lighter breast, and usually a more vibrant color underneath (not as buffy).  Vermilion Flycatchers also have different proportions (larger eyes, smaller bills).

In addition to everything TBN said, a female Vermilion will show a white throat (and, depending on the bird, a white supercilium), which contrasts sharply with brown auriculars and crown. This contrast is, for me, what really sets them off from Say's Phoebes.
