Lockwood Folly, Brunswick County, NC (between Wilmington and the NC / SC line).  March 15, 2020

From left to right, semi-educated guesses:

  • First winter Ring-Billed, based on colors, and being smaller than Herring on right but larger than other gulls in shot.
  • Breeding Bonaparte's (not in second photo),  based on colors and relatively long, narrow, black bill
  • Non-breeding Bonaparte's, based on colors and relatively long, narrow, black bill
  • Laughing, appears larger than nearby Bonaparte's, and second photo shorter reddish bill
  • Herring

Greater and Lesser Black-backed are the only other expected gulls.  Thanks!

I’m not sure on this, but I think it is Ring-billed and Herring on the sides and the rest is Laughing. Not sure though
