cb birder
Not a great picture, but can you help? Today 3/24 at Broadkill Beach, Milton DE Large bird, feather pattern looks black with white dots. It seems to have a kind of rounded shape while perched on branch. Not sure if that's a tuft of feather on top of head. Can't clearly see face pattern. Can you? Thanks! Charlie Spencer
Welcome to Whatbird! It just -might- be a native Wild Turkey, but from this angle it sure looks like a domestic Guinea fowl, a non-native bird usually kept as either poultry or for display / show purposes. Let's wait and get some other opinions. Edited March 24, 2020 by Charlie Spencer

cb birder
yes! I think you're all right. I know some people at Broadkill Beach have guinea fowl running around in a small flock. I'd never seen one in a tree. Thank you team whatbird.

akandula
Just saying, Guineafowl is one word. Your bird is a domestic form of the Helmeted Guineafowl.
