There’s a covey of Bobwhites that live in and around our property, so I’ll see if I can find them. Oh, I hope you find them, I don't see them in my area...Good luck! ? California Quail is your most common game bird, but there are a few others. There are Mountain Quail up in the hills of Orange County. There is also a small population of peafowl at Irvine Regional Map.
Avery
Do wild turkey count? If so, I’ll be going to Moose Big on Tuesday. So, if I win the lottery and get both grouse and a turkey, I’ll post it here ? a flock of turkeys would be too easy for me... I live in South-Central Washington, about 15 miles from the WA/OR border, I think there may be some to the southeast of me in the next county but I've never seen any in Klickitat County. ? It’s the real name of a peacock. They aren’t native, but many game birds aren’t. There’s a large feral population in LA and a few made it over to Irvine Regional Park. It's not often rarities stick around that long. Irvine Regional is definitely a good place. I'm sure you'll get some lifers.
