Probably the best contestants will be pelagic pictures, but for people inland, it'll be even harder. Baird's Sandpiper and something, maybe? I just checked and it seems like there are a lot of birds named after people. Hawks, warblers, sparrows, finches, orioles, woodpeckers, vireos, flycatchers, thrushes, geese, ducks, etc., etc., etc., are all named after people, and many are eastern birds so there's lots of options for both sides of the continent. It obviously won't be easy, but it might not be as hard as you think if you look at some of the options you have. Cooper's Hawk with any one of the many other birds would be an interesting but simple combo. SirVive
Not my pic and it's a few days old but since we're on the topic my brother-in-law found this at his school and they had to have the local rescue group out.

I took it the 15th when I got to my Mom's house. This little dude and his mate live in the vacant lot across the street. I defer the choice of the next challenge to TBN ? Chris Clem
Oh No.....Sept in the Mojave Desert = no flowers ! The drought doesn't help much, we have gotten only 3/4" of rain the whole year. Yikes.... everything is looking pretty bad.
