OK, I'm going to get this challenge kick-started.

A photo containing at least 2 species whose common names contain at least 2 different cardinal points of the compass:  Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western.  The two cannot be the same cardinal point.  So if one is Eastern, then the other one needs to be either Northern, Southern or Western.

I'm guessing subspecies don't count? ?

Do you have a species with a common name containing a cardinal point, where the common name of the subspecies contains a different cardinal point?

No, I was just asking because a bird that doesn’t have a Cardinal point in its common name may have one in its subspecies name. I’ve got limited options where I am ?

I can think of lots of combos I've seen, but don't know if I have photos. Like, I know I've seen a bluebird with a cardinal recently!

Quoting @meghann so he/she gets the notification

The photo has to be taken after the challenge begins.

In that case, I'd say it would qualify.  Two different species -- the cardinal point can be in the subspecies name.

I thought that last one was going to be fairly easy.  I hope this next one is much easier.

Challenge:

A photo containing at least 2 different species whose common names start with a hyphenated descriptor that is composed of first a color and second a body part.  E.g. -- Black-throated ??? and Ruby-crowned ???

Thanks Chris!

The challenge is: post a photo with the most different bird species.  The photo with the most different bird species wins.  Please include a count of species along with your photo.

The challenge will end in 24 hours, at 11pm EST tomorrow.  (If this challenge has been posted before, one more rule: the winner can't use a photo or similar photo to the one which won before.)
