Also, was this shot taken with a remote camera, or did that owl actually sit there while you got in position to shoot it? Backstory, please! and if were asking questions, wouldnt the shells, discarded seeds, bird poop, etc really do a number on the water quality? Although the photo doesn't show it, the feeder is actually set in dirt and is about 3-4 feet away from the edge of the koi/goldfish pond. So no issue with getting seeds in the pond. (I've also never had any issues with birds stealing any of the fish.) And the owl sat there while I took the photo, which was surprising. It was around midnight, and I happened to look out my bedroom window and saw the owl sitting there. It even waited while I left the room to get my camera and come back and then take the photo with the flash.
