Hi all

Here in Colorado (today) we have both species present right now, one leaving winter and one arriving summer grounds. Which one is this below and why? I have my choice, I'd like to confirm it.

Northern. The thin mask and brown barring on the breast rule out Loggerhead.

It's going to leave to Canada soon...

looks like a Northern Shrike (Lanius borealis) notice the thiner eye-band and brown barring on breast witch distinguishes it from a Loggerhead Shrike (Lanius ludovicianus.
