AlexGeorge
Location: Three Forks Ponds, Gallatin County, Montana Date: Today It seems like these are Wigeons but I don't see the characteristic green color on the head...
akandula
The majority of these birds are indeed American Wigeons. The green on their head is only seen with good light. I can also see American Coots in the first pic and Gadwalls in the second pic. Edited April 9, 2020 by akandula 1

AlexGeorge
@akandula Thanks for the feedback! From what you said it seems safe to say that the closest bird in the 1st image is an American Wigeon, as well as several others further back along with the 2 coots. So you would say most of the birds in the second image are American Wigeon, along with some gadwall? correct? Thanks!
