Jshaw236
My wife and I were recently in Grand Cayman at the beach and we saw a bunch of birds that looked just like brewers blackbirds but we didn’t have the internet so we couldn’t look up to see if they were in range. When we got home and looked it up we realized they aren’t in range and now we’re wishing we had taken a picture of it. Can anyone help us know the likely bird it could be. akandula
It's almost definitely a Greater Antillean Grackle. But beware of Shiny Cowbirds, which are more compact and have dark eyes...
Jshaw236
This guy had the yellow eyes, what do you think of the tawny shouldered blackbird, is it possible they are on the beach? Thank you for the response

Thank you for the response Tawny-shouldered are rare on the Cayman Islands and have black eyes. If your bird had yellow eyes, it’s almost definitely a Greater Antillean Grackle.
