Connor Cochrane Posted April 12, 2020 Share Posted April 12, 2020 (edited) This looks like a Western Gull. It's the most common gull in the bay, compared to Herrings, which are relatively uncommon. Note the dark color of the back, which would be much lighter in a herring gull. Bill shape is much different from herring, and herring's usually have streaked heads during this time.
