k.e.b.
Hello, This bird lives in an Eastern Red Cedar tree on our farm in Keymar, Carroll County, Maryland. I see him every night. I think he is solitary. He makes a fluttery sound when he flies, almost like an owl does. I have not heard him vocalize. The tree is on the edge of the woods near an orchard, adjacent to open pastures. He is smaller than a robin. Sorry for the blurry pic, I will try to get a better one. Thank you for any help you can give me in figuring out what he is.

Benjamin
This looks to be a Northern Mockingbird! It's a little bit of a tricky ID as only a small section of the bird is visible, but notice the long, thin bill ruling out any type of Vireo, and the overall gray plumage. There is a slight eye-line as well, and the leading edge of the wing appears to be dark, all indicative of Northern Mockingbird.
